Homes within Reach Resolution
The Nova Scotian government needs to commit to long-term rental assistance programs for low-income households living in co-operative and non-profit housing. Co-op members, along with CHF Canada, recommend a 10-year rental assistance program, which would provide low-income households the critical support they need to live and thrive in Nova Scotia.

Urban Housing Studio: Building Community through Housing Design
Thirteen Masters of Architecture students from Dalhousie University School of Architecture have been asked to design cooperative housing for three locations in the eastern Annapolis Valley. The Province is making sites in Windsor, Falmouth and New Minas available for affordable housing to be developed and managed by non-profit associations. This studio is based on a project currently in development by Valley Roots Housing Association, working with Earl Mielke and the architects of Passive Design Solutions.
